Registered Manager – Children’s Home (7‑bed)

About the role

The Registered Manager leads a 7‑bed children’s home, ensuring a safe, supportive environment for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. You will oversee daily operations, staff performance and compliance with Ofsted standards, helping residents regain a positive childhood experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the home, including staffing, budgeting and health & safety.
• Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and internal policies.
• Support and develop residential staff through coaching, training and performance reviews.
• Coordinate with psychologists, occupational therapists and other clinical professionals to deliver holistic care.
• Handle new referrals, admissions, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate records and produce reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in residential or children’s care management.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, mental health and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) frameworks.
• Leadership ability to motivate staff and create a secure environment for young people.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Base salary between £51,331 and £63,553 per annum.
• Annual bonus of up to 10% of salary, plus a 30% long‑term incentive plan.
