Registered Manager – Children’s Home (Wallasey)

About the role

This is an opportunity to join an established care company that provides residential live‑in support for children and young adults with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour. The role is based in a children’s home in Wallasey, working Monday to Friday with a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Based in a residential children’s home in Wallasey, working Monday‑Friday with a team of four.
• Support boys and girls aged 6‑16, overseeing support workers, deputy and team leader.
• Create staff rotas, lead the support team, ensure care plans are followed and assist the manager in running the home.

Required profile

• Living in or around Wallasey, North West England.
• Full UK driving licence (vehicle preferred, house car available).
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce (essential); Level 5 or studying for Level 5 is a major advantage.
• At least 2 years experience in a supervisory or manager position within residential child care.

Required skills

• Experience creating staff rotas and managing teams.
• Knowledge of care plan implementation and OFSTED inspection processes.
