Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Care Home

About the role

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential care home in Lewisham. The role involves overseeing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring the highest standards of care, and maintaining compliance with Ofsted and Children’s Home Regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure the home meets all Ofsted, health‑and‑safety and safeguarding requirements.
• Develop, implement and review policies, procedures and personalised care plans for each child.
• Coordinate with social workers, families, schools and external agencies to support children’s wellbeing.
• Manage budgets, staffing levels, recruitment, retention and professional development.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and quality‑assurance documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a children’s residential care setting.
• In‑depth knowledge of Ofsted inspections and Children’s Home Regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication and team‑development abilities.
• Commitment to safeguarding and delivering high‑quality, child‑centred care.
