Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

About the role

This position leads a children’s residential home in Stockport, providing a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the home while championing a child‑centred, trauma‑informed approach.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running of the residential home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance.
• Lead, support and develop a reflective team focused on safeguarding and positive outcomes.
• Build strong relationships with children, families, external professionals and agencies.
• Maintain accurate records, manage budgets and ensure health and safety procedures are followed.
• Promote a stable, warm atmosphere that encourages long‑term positive development.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager in a residential setting.
• Demonstrated resilience, warmth and strong leadership qualities.
• Passion for supporting children and young people, especially those with trauma histories.
• Commitment to safeguarding and delivering the best possible outcomes.
• Alignment with the service’s values – children truly come first.
