Registered Manager – Children's Residential Home

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of Stockport Council’s children’s homes. As the Registered Manager you will create a warm, nurturing and stable environment where children feel safe, valued and able to thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the day‑to‑day operation of the residential home.
- Ensure safeguarding standards are met and upheld.
- Develop and support a reflective, trauma‑informed staff team.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, partner agencies and the local authority.
- Drive outcomes that achieve the best possible results for children and young people.
Required profile
- Strong leadership abilities with a child‑centred, trauma‑informed approach.
- Warmth, resilience and high emotional intelligence.
- Proven experience building positive relationships with children, families and professionals.
- Passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive rate of £40‑£50 per hour (umbrella).
- Full‑time hours, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm with flexibility.
- Supportive local authority environment with collaborative leadership.
