Registered Manager – Children’s Service (Thurrock, Essex)

About the role
We are seeking a Registered Manager to lead a brand‑new children’s service in Thurrock, Essex. The role offers the chance to shape high‑quality residential care for young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties while progressing within a growing organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Motivate and inspire teams through effective training, coaching and leadership by example.
- Oversee service operations including rostering, support plans, staff deployment and budget management.
- Ensure compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements.
Required profile
- Experience managing registered or supported living services, including performance management and budgeting.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation such as Children Act 2004, Care Act 2014 and safeguarding policies.
- NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards it.
Required skills
- Good IT skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
What we offer
- Salary £40,000 – £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
