Registered Manager – Independent Living Development

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our independent living development at Dutton Court in Cheadle Hulme, Stockport. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day management, care delivery, and operational running of the community, ensuring residents enjoy independence, dignity, and a vibrant lifestyle.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the development, maintaining high‑quality care and support.
• Lead, inspire and supervise a dedicated care and support team.
• Ensure CQC compliance, manage audits, quality checks and safeguarding.
• Collaborate with Sales and Rentals teams to promote occupancy and community engagement.
• Manage budgets and ensure financial processes are followed.
• Build strong relationships with residents, families and external professionals.
• Promote wellbeing and independence through tailored support and activities.

Required profile

• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
• Proven experience managing a care or housing‑with‑care service.
• Strong knowledge of CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent people management and organisational skills.
• Desirable experience in retirement living, extra care or domiciliary care settings.
• Ability to manage budgets and deliver high‑standard services.
