Registered Manager – Learning Disabilities Residential Home

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our 13‑bed residential home for adults with learning disabilities on the Isle of Wight. You will be responsible for delivering person‑centred care, ensuring compliance with CQC standards and fostering a supportive environment where residents can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective leadership and day‑to‑day management of the residential service.
• Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
• Recruit, train, supervise and develop a team of care professionals.
• Develop and monitor person‑centred support plans tailored to individual needs.
• Oversee safeguarding practices and maintain resident safety and wellbeing.
• Manage budgets, resources and financial performance.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external agencies.
• Drive continuous improvement and service development.
• Maintain accurate records and produce required reports.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager or Service Manager in adult social care.
• Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality standards.
• Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational abilities.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Understanding of safeguarding, risk management and person‑centred care.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
