Registered Manager – New Children’s Home

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate, values‑driven leader to launch and shape a brand‑new children’s residential service in Berwick‑upon‑Tweed. As the Registered Manager you will establish the culture, build the team and ensure the home meets Ofsted standards and the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

Key responsibilities

• Register the home with Ofsted and maintain compliance with all Quality Standards.
• Lead, inspire and develop a therapeutic, child‑centred team.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, including rotas, budgets and inter‑agency partnerships.
• Ensure children’s voices shape care planning and support positive life outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years in a management or deputy‑management role within an Ofsted‑regulated children’s residential setting.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent qualification.
• Full UK driving licence, suitability for Ofsted registration and ability to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
