Registered Manager – Ofsted Regulated Service

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our Ofsted‑regulated residential childcare service in Hythe, Kent. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of care, achieving strong Ofsted outcomes and driving commercial success.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and act promptly on any risks.
• Maintain health and safety compliance, including training and target achievement.
• Oversee day‑to‑day service management, guaranteeing legislative compliance and financial viability.
• Participate in the out‑of‑hours on‑call rota for managers.
• Deliver excellent customer care and uphold quality standards in line with Ofsted regulations.
• Provide leadership, coaching and staff optimisation to improve service delivery.
• Manage budgets, meet financial targets and promote the service to prospective clients.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Required profile

• Compliance with Regulation 28 of the Children’s Home (England) Regulations 2015.
• Minimum two years recent experience in residential childcare.
• At least one year in a supervisory or management role within a care setting.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Good financial acumen and commercial awareness.

• Proficiency in ICT tools for reporting and communication.
