Registered Mental Health Nurse – Band 5 (Flexible)

About the role

Join the Cumbria, Northumberland and Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (Band 5). You will work across a variety of inpatient and community settings, delivering compassionate, evidence‑based care to service users with complex mental health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide holistic nursing care, including comprehensive assessments, care planning and treatment evaluation.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient‑centred care.
• Conduct accurate clinical risk assessments and implement safe management strategies.
• Coordinate shift activities and mentor healthcare assistants and student nurses.

Required profile

• Valid UK NMC registration as a mental health nurse.
• Excellent communication, time‑management and interpersonal abilities.
• Calm, adaptable attitude with a genuine passion for supporting people with complex mental health conditions.
