Registered Mental Health Nurse – £24.11 per hour

About the role

Join Cygnet Hospital Kewstoke as a Registered Mental Health Nurse, providing emergency admissions and rehabilitation services for adults, including a specialist pathway for personality disorder. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and promote independence.

Key responsibilities

• Produce outstanding written reports based on nursing assessments and observations.
• Develop, audit and improve service quality in collaboration with the management team.
• Attend training and engage in CPD to maintain up‑to‑date nursing knowledge.
• Ensure individual care plans are complete and maintained in line with NMC guidelines, involving residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals.
• Administer prescribed medicines following Healthcare Commission procedures.

Required profile

• Open, compassionate, honest and resilient.
• Newly qualified or experienced RMN with a current NMC PIN number.
• Ability to maintain documentation and undertake audits.
• Good knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 and current nursing practices.
• Capability to deputise in a clinical lead role and focus on risk management.

Required skills

• Current NMC registration with a valid PIN.
• Understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983.
• Proficiency in nursing documentation and audit processes.
