Registered Nurse – Night Shift

About the role

Prime Life is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the night shift team at Charnwood Oaks, a specialist care home for 84 residents in Shepshed, Leicestershire. The role involves providing high‑quality, dignified nursing care to adults with a range of age‑related, physical, mental health conditions and dementia.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately complete nursing notes and maintain up‑to‑date care plans.
• Administer, store, and manage medication safely in accordance with NMC guidelines.
• Conduct daily assessments of each resident’s needs and adjust care accordingly.
• Lead nursing handovers and collaborate with care staff during night shifts.
• Participate in daily meetings, share information and follow the NMC Code of Conduct.
• Perform any reasonable duties assigned by the manager to meet business needs.

Required profile

• Current NMC pin and registration.
• Patient, understanding and respectful attitude toward residents’ abilities.
• Ability to work night shifts on a regular set pattern.
• Commitment to continuous improvement of resident care.

Required skills

• Medication administration.

• Care planning and evaluation.
