Registered Nurse – Surgical (Full‑time, 37.5h/week)

About the role

The Albyn Hospital in Aberdeen is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse to join its surgical team on a permanent, full‑time basis. You will work a flexible 37.5‑hour week delivering high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced private hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise interventions and update care plans.
• Monitor vital signs, recognise clinical changes and escalate when required.
• Administer medications safely following NMC Code and hospital policies.
• Maintain accurate, timely nursing documentation and ensure compliance with governance standards.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns and potential risks.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with a valid NMC registration.
• Proven experience in a clinical healthcare setting, preferably surgical.
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and evidence‑based practice.
• Excellent communication and ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with IT systems used for patient records, documentation and care planning.
