Registered Nurse – Theatre & Day Surgery (Part‑time, Permanent)

About the role

This permanent, part‑time position (30 hours per week) is based in the Theatre and Day Surgery Unit at Tewkesbury Hospital. You will join a small, friendly multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred peri‑operative care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence‑based peri‑operative nursing care for adult patients undergoing same‑day surgery.
• Conduct patient assessment, care planning and evaluation throughout the surgical journey.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists and allied health professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Participate in training, supervision and competency assessment of student nurses and junior staff.
• Maintain high standards of infection control and patient safety in a nurse‑led environment.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in theatre or day‑surgery settings.
• Compassionate, organised and able to work autonomously within a team.
• Commitment to delivering patient‑focused, high‑quality care.
