About the role
Join the Pre‑Admission team at Duchy Hospital in Truro, Cornwall as a Registered Nursing Associate. You will work in a nurse‑led clinic delivering pre‑operative assessments, supporting patients before surgery and ensuring high standards of care.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct pre‑operative assessments and medical evaluations for surgical patients.
- Perform phlebotomy and collect required samples.
- Provide patient‑focused information and guidance about upcoming procedures.
- Document assessments accurately in the hospital’s electronic system.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans.
Required profile
- Registered with the NMC.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Empathetic and patient‑centred attitude.
