Regulatory Solicitor – Leeds

About the role

A leading national law firm is expanding its Corporate Defence & Regulatory team in Leeds. The Regulatory Solicitor will work on high‑profile investigations, enforcement actions and crisis management for a diverse client base, covering health and safety, product safety and food safety matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on health and safety compliance, incident response and regulatory investigations.
• Support product safety and recall matters, including internal investigations and liaison with enforcement authorities.
• Provide guidance on food safety and other regulated‑product compliance issues.
• Assist with corporate defence work such as regulatory investigations, corporate manslaughter cases, coroner's inquests and related enforcement proceedings.
• Contribute to criminal prosecution strategies and manage interactions with regulatory bodies.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with experience in health and safety and broader regulatory law.
• Proven ability to handle complex, sensitive investigations and enforcement actions.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, able to advise senior stakeholders.
• Experience working with a range of regulated sectors, including food and consumer products.
