About the role

Santander is seeking a Relationship Director for its Corporate Clients division in Birmingham. You will lead a portfolio of corporate customers, ensuring they receive exceptional service while meeting the bank’s financial and risk objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate clients, delivering a high‑quality experience and timely interventions.
  • Drive growth by executing a proactive relationship and acquisition strategy.
  • Meet governance requirements, including credit stewardship and financial‑crime compliance.
  • Collaborate across Retail & Commercial Banking to foster a proactive, collaborative environment.
  • Deliver on OKRs and KPIs, including Net Promoter Score (NPS) from internal and external sources.
  • Coach Relationship Managers to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Required profile

  • Proven experience developing and executing business‑development strategies for corporate banking.
  • Strong credit underwriting expertise and a solid understanding of financial‑crime risk.
  • Track record of delivering high‑quality client experiences.
