Relationship Director – Mid Markets (Midlands)

About the role

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a Relationship Director to lead its Mid‑Markets portfolio across the Midlands. You will work with clients whose turnover ranges from £50 million to £500 million, delivering tailored financing solutions and driving new‑business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Originate new‑to‑bank opportunities, focusing on debt transactions and leveraging a network of introducers.
• Build and maintain relationships with private‑equity firms, debt advisers, accountants and lawyers.
• Understand client strategies and funding needs to structure competitive debt solutions.
• Drive balance‑sheet growth by increasing share‑of‑wallet with existing and new clients.
• Lead negotiations on pricing, terms and structure while aligning with risk appetite.
• Support clients in developing ESG strategies and managing related risk.

Required profile

• Proven track record in new‑to‑bank prospect origination at Mid‑Markets level.
• Strong network within the Midlands business community.
• Excellent client‑facing and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to analyse complex financial structures and negotiate effectively.
