Relationship Manager – Commercial Real Estate

About the role

The International Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager to originate, write and manage Loan‑Against‑Property (LAP) and commercial real‑estate lending in the UK. You will be the primary point of contact for borrowers, driving new business and ensuring a full‑cycle service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Originate commercial real‑estate loan transactions from multiple channels (direct, branch referrals, private banking, broker leads, website leads).
• Prepare and submit credit applications, coordinate with risk teams and present proposals to executive committees.
• Manage post‑approval processes, including draw‑down, covenant monitoring and regular reporting.
• Promote the bank’s products through marketing tools, events, and broker networks.
• Maintain relationships with borrowers, solicitors, valuation agencies and internal disbursement teams.
• Monitor loan performance, flag deviations, and support collections and recovery activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory frameworks and conduct‑risk requirements.

Required profile

• Demonstrated commitment to corporate values, ethics and teamwork.
• Ability to manage a full portfolio of commercial real‑estate borrowers.
• Strong understanding of retail and business banking transactions.
• Experience in coordinating multi‑stakeholder loan processes.
