Relief Care Assistant

About the role

Join McCarthy & Stone at the Deans Park Court development in Stafford as a Relief Care Assistant. You will support residents in a modern, on‑site environment, providing personalised care without the need for travel between locations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing and grooming.
• Organise and facilitate social and recreational activities.
• Book appointments and coordinate outings, including escorting residents when required.
• Provide flexible coverage across day, evening and weekend shifts throughout the year.

Required profile

• Warm, friendly and passionate about the wellbeing of older adults.
• Willingness to learn on the job; prior care experience is helpful but not mandatory.
• Health and Social Care Level 2 qualification is advantageous but not essential.
• Must be over 18 years old and hold a valid UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Ability to drive safely and responsibly.
