About the role

Berry Recruitment is seeking experienced chefs and cooks for flexible, temporary positions across a range of settings in Liverpool, including schools, staff canteens, healthcare facilities and care homes. These roles allow you to manage your own workload while covering short‑ and long‑term staff absences.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in schools, academies, staff canteens, healthcare environments and care homes.
• Cover staff absences on a day, evening or occasional weekend basis.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Adapt to a variety of menus and dietary requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a chef or cook.
• Passion for food and ability to work in diverse environments.
• Valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) for work with vulnerable groups.
• Flexibility to work a mix of shifts, including days, evenings and occasional weekends.
