Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor – South West

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Relief Concrete Plant Supervisor to provide on‑site support for multiple ready‑mix concrete plants across the South West. The role involves hands‑on supervision of plant operations, ensuring product quality, safety and environmental standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Operate computerised batching systems to produce concrete to customer specifications.
• Assist Production Managers with daily running of several concrete plants.
• Carry out daily safety inspections of critical equipment.
• Operate loading shovels to replenish aggregate stock and monitor material levels.
• Manage the safe movement of mixers, tippers and cement tankers on site.
• Supervise contractors, conduct environmental compliance checks and maintain accurate records.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a concrete plant, quarry, manufacturing or heavy‑industrial environment.
• Good mechanical and/or electrical understanding of plant machinery.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Willingness to travel between sites in the South West.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).

What we offer

• Salary £38,000 – £38,500 per annum
