Relief Security Officer

About the role

Mitie is seeking enthusiastic security professionals to join its Relief Security Officer team for a new Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) project across South Wales. You will help maintain a safe environment for staff, visitors and property while representing Mitie’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol DWP sites regularly to identify and mitigate security threats.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, suspicious activities and incidents.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
• Provide courteous customer service to staff and visitors on security matters.
• Conduct routine security checks and complete detailed incident reports.
• Adhere to Mitie and DWP security policies, health & safety regulations and emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a security or guard role.
• Full UK driving licence.
• DS (Security) licence preferred.
• Ability to travel between multiple DWP sites in South Wales.
• Professional conduct in challenging situations.
