Relief Security Officer

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Relief Security Officer to provide high‑quality security services at a government‑linked site in Wallsend. You will help protect people, property and essential services while working within a supportive team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
• Carry out regular patrols, identify risks and report hazards.
• Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies and suspicious activity.
• Complete detailed incident reports and keep accurate records.
• Perform routine security checks and ensure site procedures are followed.
• Liaise with emergency services and external agencies when required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a security role.
• Valid SIA licence (Door Supervisor licence preferred).
• Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
• Attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
• Independent, reliable and flexible working approach.
