Relief Support Worker – Flexible Shifts in Salford

About the role

We are looking for a resilient and compassionate Relief Support Worker to join our Swinton‑based team. You will provide person‑centred care to service users with complex learning disabilities and physical health needs, helping them live independently in their own tenancies.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver respectful personal care, practical assistance and emotional support.
• Support service users to engage with the local community.
• Work flexibly on a rota that includes weekend, night and waking‑night shifts.
• Build and maintain warm, trusting relationships with service users.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and professionals to ensure coordinated care.

Required profile

• Strong, resilient, warm, motivated and approachable with a solid value base.
• Minimum 12 months of relevant experience.
• Eligible to work in the UK; no sponsorship available.
• Commitment to inclusive, anti‑racist practice.

Required skills

• Knowledge of re‑enablement principles.
• Experience with personal care, moving and handling tasks.
• Understanding of complex learning disabilities and physical health support needs.
