Religious Education Teacher – Full‑Time (Temp to Permanent)

About the role

The school is seeking an enthusiastic Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join its Humanities department from September 2026. This full‑time position starts on a temporary basis with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging RE lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Promote critical thinking about beliefs, cultures, ethics and philosophies.
• Maintain a respectful, inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with Humanities colleagues to develop a cohesive curriculum.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
• Experience teaching RE in a UK secondary school.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Humanities.
• Excellent classroom management and safeguarding awareness.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Religious Education curricula.
• Ability to inspire learners of diverse abilities.
