Relocation Project Manager (Fixed-Term)

About the role

The fixed‑term Relocation Project Manager will lead the move of Alfa Laval’s Service Centre and office in Camberley, Surrey. Reporting to the Service Division Manager and a steering committee, you will define relocation options, manage legal processes and ensure successful commissioning of the new site.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a project proposal, schedule and budget, and deliver the relocation programme on time.
• Maintain business continuity and keep lost‑time injury frequency below the company target.
• Manage environmental and health‑safety risks throughout the project.
• Oversee commissioning, statutory inspections, certifications and site acceptance.
• Prepare the final documentation pack, including asset register, O&M manuals and warranty information.

Required profile

• Structured, organised and committed to agreed timelines.
• Self‑motivated, solution‑driven with strong communication skills.
• Formal project‑management qualification (PRINCE2, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent).
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent health‑and‑safety experience.
• Proven experience managing industrial contractors on large‑scale relocation projects.

Required skills

• Heavy‑machine relocation and foundation design review.
• Installation, alignment and commissioning of precision engineering equipment.
• Knowledge of compressed‑air, drainage, utilities and electrical distribution systems.
• Operation of overhead cranes, lifting equipment and gas/fire (HVAC) systems.
• Project budgeting, cost control and multi‑discipline subcontractor management.
