Remote Clinical Coding Auditor & Trainer – Qualified & Trainee Roles

About the role

We are partnering with a leading healthcare organisation to expand its Clinical Coding function. This fully remote, permanent position is open to qualified Clinical Coding Auditors, Trainers, and ACC‑qualified Coders who wish to progress into audit or training roles.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately assign ICD‑10 and OPCS‑4 codes in line with national standards.
• Maintain high levels of coding accuracy, quality and productivity.
• Ensure compliance with national Clinical Coding standards and conventions.
• Support coding quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clinicians and operational stakeholders.
• Contribute to service development and coding quality improvement projects.
• Undertake structured clinical coding audits, review coded data for accuracy and compliance, and produce audit reports.
• Identify trends, learning opportunities and areas for quality improvement.
• Deliver clinical coding training programmes, coach and mentor coding staff, and support their professional development.

Required profile

• Qualified Clinical Coding Auditor.
• Qualified Clinical Coding Trainer.
• ACC‑qualified Clinical Coder interested in audit or training progression.
• High‑performing individuals with a commitment to coding quality and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• ICD‑10 coding.
• OPCS‑4 coding.
• Knowledge of national clinical coding standards and conventions.
