Remote Social Media Manager – Junior Contract

About the role

This remote Junior Social Media Manager position supports a premium Manhattan‑based dog brand. You will shape the brand’s Instagram and TikTok presence, creating a digital “clubhouse” that encourages dog owners to feel proud and connected.

Key responsibilities

• Create and edit 15 high‑quality video posts each month that reflect the brand’s approachable‑luxury aesthetic.
• Publish three engaging Instagram Stories daily to keep the community active.
• Prepare weekly content packages for review and incorporate feedback.
• Monitor and respond to comments and direct messages, fostering loyalty and retention.
• Use provided brand assets to maintain visual consistency across all posts.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing social media for local businesses or premium/luxury brands.
• Strong video‑editing ability and a keen eye for visual storytelling.
• Deep knowledge of Instagram and TikTok best practices, scheduling, engagement tactics and analytics.
• Excellent written communication and the capacity to adopt a warm, inclusive brand voice.
• Self‑motivated, deadline‑driven and able to adapt to feedback; familiarity with New York City pet culture is a plus.
• Portfolio or examples of community‑focused social media work.
