Renewable Energy Solicitor – Edinburgh

About the role

We are seeking a qualified solicitor with a passion for renewable energy to join our Edinburgh office. The successful candidate will work within a dedicated Energy team, supporting a diverse portfolio of wind, solar, battery storage and hydro projects across Scotland. This is a hybrid role offering a balance of client‑facing work and collaborative internal projects.

Key responsibilities

• Advise landowners, estates and commercial clients on acquisitions, disposals, option and lease agreements for renewable projects.
• Draft and negotiate contracts related to financing, refinancing and compulsory purchase matters.
• Liaise with property, private client and corporate specialists to deliver integrated legal solutions.
• Provide commercial insight and technical guidance throughout project lifecycles.

Required profile

• Scottish‑qualified solicitor with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Demonstrated experience in the property aspects of renewable energy projects.
• Commercially minded with strong communication abilities.
• Motivated to develop a career within a supportive, collaborative team environment.
