Rental Fleet Technician

About the role

Motive Offshore Group is looking for a Rental Fleet Technician based at its Peterhead site, within the European Rentals team. The post covers mobilisation and demobilisation of equipment, its operation according to client project needs, and supporting workshop technicians with repairs and servicing. It also includes preparing equipment to a high standard, including cleaning and painting, and forklift operations, all in line with Health, Safety and Quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilise and demobilise hire equipment returning to shore, following the mobilisation and demobilisation procedure
• Report immediately any accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns
• Operate machinery, hand tools and lifting equipment safely, and provide operatives with the right tools, instructions and technical data
• Assist with mobilisation, function testing, servicing and planned preventive maintenance of the rental fleet
• Keep the yard and workshop clean and organised
• Offload equipment returned from clients, quarantine and tag off equipment in line with the identification and tagging procedure
• Complete demobilisation paperwork, record missing or damaged equipment and inspect demobbed equipment
• Follow sustainability policies and HSEQ systems such as ICE and STAR cards

Required profile

• Experience operating spooling and winch equipment preferred (training available)
• B1, B2 and B3 licences preferred (training available)
• Good appreciation of mechanical equipment
• Ability to organise time, prioritise workload and communicate positively
• Strong organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team
