About the role
Global Arbitration Review is seeking a Reporter to join its London office and deliver clear, accurate coverage for a specialist audience of arbitration practitioners, counsel, arbitrators and in‑house lawyers. This role offers an ambitious journalist the chance to develop a distinctive beat in international arbitration, bridging law, business and geopolitics.
Key responsibilities
- Write timely, accurate, balanced content that follows the brand’s style guide and editorial ethos.
- Source news and story ideas through personal networks and regular online beats.
- Report on events and conferences, identifying compelling angles.
- Represent the brand at client meetings, conferences and networking events in London and internationally.
- Compile and analyse data for editorial projects such as surveys or reports.
- Generate ideas for long‑form content and collaborate with production teams.
- Administer routine editorial processes, including report and magazine creation.
Required profile
- Degree in journalism or law, or proven experience in legal reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and curiosity to uncover the best story angles.
- Self‑starter confident covering a specialist, technical beat.
- Team‑oriented, collaborative mindset in a newsroom environment.
- Ability to network, develop sources and ask the right questions.
- Knowledge of international arbitration is an advantage.
