Reporting Accountant

About the role

We are supporting a growing international organisation in Warrington that seeks a qualified Reporting Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers exposure to external reporting, statutory compliance, audit processes and technical accounting within a large, complex business environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support group and statutory audit processes, preparing audit information and responding to auditor queries.
• Prepare and submit VAT and CIS returns.
• Produce monthly regulatory and statistical reports.
• Assist with external reporting activities and ensure compliance with reporting deadlines.
• Handle technical accounting and financial reporting queries.
• Build strong relationships with finance stakeholders and wider business partners.
• Contribute to process improvements and ad‑hoc finance projects.
• Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts preparation or financial accounting.
• Involvement in internal or external audit processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive approach with ability to manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
