Research and Development Project Manager

About the role

Join Siemens Energy Industrial Turbomachinery as a Research and Development Project Manager. You will lead a cross‑functional team to improve engine efficiency and cut emissions in gas turbines, focusing on turbine blades and vanes while managing supplier transitions.

Key responsibilities

• Define project scope with partners and communicate requirements to teams.
• Develop and maintain project plans in Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) to meet milestones.
• Own the Product Development Process, delivering scope on time and budget.
• Coordinate engineering, quality, supply chain, manufacturing and business controlling functions.
• Identify KPIs, report status and forecasts, and act as single point of contact for partners.
• Proactively spot opportunities and risks, make decisions, and escalate when needed.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies aligned with business risk appetite.

Required profile

• Engineering Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience in an engineering environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Strong leadership, self‑motivation and ownership mindset.
• Fluency in English.

Required skills

• Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM).
• Lean and Agile project management methodologies.
• Advanced knowledge of gas turbine technology, especially turbine blades and vanes manufacturing.
• Project Management certifications (RDPM, PMP or equivalent).
