Resident Liaison Officer – Resident Support & Communication

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Resident Liaison Officer to act as the primary link between our delivery teams and the residents of sites across Yorkshire and Humberside. Based in our Leeds office, you will ensure clear, respectful and inclusive communication throughout planned maintenance and refurbishment projects.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for residents throughout the works programme.
• Organise and attend resident consultation meetings, home visits and pre‑start appointments.
• Provide timely, empathetic updates on schedules, access requirements and any changes.
• Handle concerns, complaints and queries professionally, aiming for high resident satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of resident interactions, feedback and agreed actions.
• Identify vulnerable residents, including those with dementia, and arrange reasonable adjustments.
• Collaborate with site managers, operatives and client representatives to support smooth project delivery.
• Ensure all communications comply with health & safety, legal and client requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in a tenant or resident liaison role, or a customer‑facing position within social housing, property maintenance or construction.
• Strong empathy and ability to support vulnerable individuals with professionalism.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a calm, approachable manner.
• Highly organised, proactive and solution‑focused.
• Full UK driving licence (essential).
