Key responsibilities

• Assist with the smooth operation of the home, following established routines and procedures.

• Carry out household duties such as cleaning, laundry and preparing balanced meals.
• Administer medication safely in line with home policies and maintain secure storage.
• Act as a positive role model, treating each child with respect and dignity.
• Collaborate with colleagues, families and external professionals to deliver coordinated care.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Required profile

• Experience working with individuals who have learning disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• No specific educational qualifications required if substantial relevant experience is demonstrated.
