Residential Child Care Worker

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Child Care Worker to join our award‑winning academy in Ramsden Heath, Essex. You will work with boys aged 10‑16 who have social, emotional and mental health needs, providing a safe, nurturing environment both during evenings and overnight.

Key responsibilities

• Support students after school by preparing healthy snacks, organising activities and encouraging personal hygiene.
• Facilitate physical activities and recreational outings such as park visits, sports, board games or cinema trips.
• Assist with homework, supervise evening routines, and complete detailed evening reports.
• Prepare students for the morning school routine, ensuring they are ready for breakfast and departure.
• Collaborate with the residential team and school staff to deliver a balanced 24‑hour curriculum.

• Competitive salary £26,694‑£31,537 per annum plus National Joint Council sleeping‑in duty payments.
