Residential Child Care Worker – Part‑Time (Zero‑Hour)

About the role

Pebbles Care is seeking part‑time Residential Child Care Workers to join its zero‑hour workforce in New Cumnock. You will provide safe, nurturing care for vulnerable children and young people aged 8‑18 across several homes, while holding a full UK manual driving licence.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure children’s safety, support their education, prepare meals, maintain clean living spaces and organise recreational activities.
• Support care teams across multiple homes in the area, covering shifts as required and attending regular induction and therapeutic‑parenting training.

Required profile

• Highly responsible and accountable for safeguarding children.
• Desire to pursue child‑care qualifications and training.
• Nurturing, patient and resilient attitude.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office.
• Full, valid UK manual driver’s licence.
