Residential Conveyancer – Hybrid Working

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join our growing property team in Chard. Working on a hybrid basis, you will handle a diverse portfolio of residential transactions from instruction to completion, delivering high‑quality service to clients and referrers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload, including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
• Handle new‑build transactions, Help to Buy and shared‑ownership deals.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, solicitors and other parties throughout each transaction.
• Ensure all files comply with regulatory and firm standards.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and support business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years post‑qualification experience in residential conveyancing.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Team‑oriented and proactive approach.

Required skills

• Experience with freehold and leasehold transactions.
• Familiarity with new‑build, Help to Buy and shared‑ownership processes.
• Knowledge of lease extensions, deeds of variation, equity release or small development work (advantageous).
