Residential Conveyancing Completions Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Residential Conveyancing Completions Assistant to join our busy Residential Property team in Burgess Hill. The role focuses on managing completions and post‑completion tasks for a range of residential transactions, including shared‑ownership deals, and requires a high level of accuracy and client care.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue completion statements and manage the transfer and receipt of funds on completion day.
• Request, check and chase mortgage advance monies and conduct pre‑completion checks to ensure all conditions are satisfied.
• Handle post‑completion duties such as SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
• Assist with shared‑ownership transactions, liaising with housing associations and ensuring scheme‑specific compliance.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, lenders, estate agents and other solicitors, and keep accurate file records in line with firm procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a residential conveyancing environment.
• Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast‑paced completions setting.
• Clear and professional communication skills.
• Familiarity with shared‑ownership transactions and lender requirements.
