Residential Conveyancing Lawyer

About the role

This full‑time position is for a Residential Conveyancing Lawyer to join a well‑established legal practice in Haywards Heath. You will work with high‑net‑worth clients, manage a complete residential conveyancing portfolio and collaborate within a supportive team where progression is based on performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a full residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion and post‑completion matters.
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, new builds and shared ownership transactions.
• Conduct title checks, draft contracts and raise/respond to enquiries.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with agents, clients and colleagues.
• Attend monthly fee‑earner meetings and provide file cover support when required.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, CILEX or CLC professional.
• Experience ranging from newly qualified (NQ) to up to 10 years post‑qualification, with senior candidates also considered.
• Proven ability to handle a full residential conveyancing caseload independently.
• Commercially aware, proactive and highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator and strong team player.
