Residential Conveyancing Partner – Bristol & Somerset

About the role

We are seeking a Residential Conveyancing Partner to lead and expand our residential property practice across Bristol and Somerset. The successful candidate will combine commercial acumen with strong legal expertise to drive growth, nurture client relationships and mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow the residential property portfolio in Bristol & Somerset.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local agents, referrers and professional contacts.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team.
• Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload from instruction to completion.
• Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and first registrations.
• Deliver high‑level client care and maintain strong client relationships.
• Contribute to business development, networking and departmental strategy.

Required profile

• Qualified Residential Property Solicitor or equivalent with at least 5 years PQE.
• Strong technical residential conveyancing experience.
• Confident in managing matters from instruction through to completion.
• Interest in business development and growing a department.
• Comfortable supervising and developing junior team members.
• Commercial, personable and confident relationship builder.
• Ambitious with a desire for long‑term progression towards equity partnership.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
