Residential Conveyancing Solicitor – Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join our established team in Cheltenham. The role combines a busy fee‑earning caseload with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied residential conveyancing portfolio from instruction to completion, covering freehold, leasehold, remortgages, transfers of equity, new‑build and shared‑ownership transactions.
• Deliver a high standard of client care throughout each transaction and meet fee‑earning and billing targets.
• Supervise, guide and provide technical support to two junior conveyancers, reviewing workflows and ensuring timely progress.
• Act as the primary point of contact for technical queries, problem‑solve issues and coach colleagues to develop their expertise.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, brokers and other professional contacts while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and firm policies.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 5–10 years post‑qualification experience in residential conveyancing.
• Proven ability to manage a full residential conveyancing caseload independently.
• Strong technical knowledge of all aspects of residential property transactions.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff is highly advantageous.
• Excellent organisational, communication and client‑relationship skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
