Residential Development Manager

About the role

The Residential Development Manager will oversee the delivery and ongoing management of a large residential development in North London, ensuring high service standards and compliance with legislation. You will act as the primary contact for customers, developers and contractors while maintaining the development’s communal areas and green spaces.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain effective service levels and represent the company to customers, clients and developers.
• Build and sustain relationships with Residents Association / RMC committees and attend relevant meetings.
• Manage performance, set guidelines, handle holiday/sickness absences and organise shift or emergency cover.
• Control costs, set service charges and produce bi‑monthly financial summaries and quarterly client reports.
• Lead proactive customer, contractor and client meetings, handle Stage 1 complaints and support the Regional Manager with Stage 2 escalations.
• Conduct risk assessments, health‑and‑safety checks and ensure timely remedial actions.
• Supervise contractors, monitor works orders and ensure compliance with High Building Safety legislation and Section 20 consultation processes.
• Perform regular site audits to maintain the building fabric to high standards.

Required profile

• TPI Level 2 (or higher) with experience managing a service‑charge budget.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar property, building or development management role.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of building legislation, High Building Safety requirements and Section 20 consultation.
• Proven ability to manage finances, set service charges and present accounts to clients.
