Residential Property Solicitor – High-Value Rural & Agricultural Work

About the role

We are seeking a Residential Property Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) with 4+ years PQE to join our expanding Rural & Agricultural Property team in Devon. The role offers exposure to high‑net‑worth and ultra‑high‑net‑worth clients, handling complex, high‑value residential and rural property transactions across the South West and London.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of high‑value residential conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases and transfers.
• Handle rural and agricultural property transactions, such as estates and land deals.
• Advise on property finance, secured lending and portfolio matters.
• Work on transactions across Devon, the South West, London and the wider UK.
• Support business development and client relationship management.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) with at least 4 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong experience in residential property law or conveyancing.
• Exposure to rural or agricultural property is desirable but not essential.
• Commercial property solicitors looking to transition are encouraged to apply.
• Confidence working with high‑value clients and complex transactions.

Required skills

• Technical drafting of TP1s, leases and transfers.
• Knowledge of property finance and secured lending.
• Familiarity with the Building Safety Act.
• Conveyancing expertise for high‑value residential and rural transactions.
