About the role
Join a small, dedicated team providing residential childcare support to young people with complex needs in Weston‑super‑Mare. You will work on a 3‑on‑3‑off day shift pattern, from 7 am to 7:30 pm, delivering hands‑on care and guidance.
Key responsibilities
- Assist young people with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation and household tasks.
- Build positive relationships and provide emotional support to foster self‑esteem and independence.
- Supervise activities and ensure safety, adhering to safeguarding policies.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, incidents and any changes in behaviour or health.
- Collaborate with staff, social workers and families to develop and implement tailored care plans.
Required profile
- Previous care experience (desirable but not essential).
- Valid driving licence.
- NVQ Level 3 in residential care (desirable).
- Good non‑verbal communication skills.
