Residential Support Worker

About the role

We are looking for experienced Youth Residential Support Workers to join our team in Leeds. You will provide person‑centred care and safeguarding for young people living in mainstream residential settings, helping them develop independence and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emotional support and day‑to‑day care to young residents.
• Monitor and manage ligature risks, following established safety protocols.
• Assist with personal care, daily routines, and educational activities.
• Maintain accurate records, care plans, and risk assessments.
• Respond promptly to incidents and follow safeguarding procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year experience in residential childcare, youth support, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management.
• Completed ligature training or suicide prevention and awareness training.
• Experience in mental health secure settings is desirable.
