Residential Support Worker – £23 per hour

About the role

We are seeking Residential Support Workers for 3‑month block contracts on the Scottish Islands, delivering high‑quality care to older adults either in care homes or in their own homes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care, medication administration and safe moving & handling for older adults.
• Work shifts covering 07:00‑22:00 (or 22:00‑07:00) in care homes, or varied 07:00‑23:00 visits for community placements.
• Deliver care across 45+ hours per week, typically 5‑6 days.
• Travel to remote island locations; driving licence preferred for care home roles and mandatory for community roles.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience supporting older adults.
• Ability to work alone and handle medication and personal care safely.
• Previous experience in care homes or home‑care settings is preferred.
• Experience on islands or remote placements is advantageous.
