Residential Surveyor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Residential Surveyor to join our independent practice in the North East. The role involves delivering high-quality property inspections and reports across Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland and Northumberland, using modern surveying tools.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct residential property inspections throughout the North East region.
• Prepare detailed RICS Level 2 Home Survey and RICS Level 3 Building Survey reports.
• Carry out residential valuations where required.
• Lead pre‑ and post‑survey client calls to explain findings and recommendations.
• Utilise specialist surveying software, tablets and drone technology for data capture.
• Provide professional technical advice and exceptional customer service.
• Collaborate with the administration team for diary and appointment management.

Required profile

• AssocRICS, MRICS or working towards chartered status.
• Proven experience in residential surveying.
• Excellent written communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Customer‑focused attitude with high professional standards.

Required skills

• RICS Level 2 Home Survey methodology.
• RICS Level 3 Building Survey methodology.
• Use of specialist surveying software.
• Operation of drone technology for property inspections.
